Jupiter (Guru, also called Brihaspati) is considered the most benevolent of the grahas, the significator of wisdom, wealth, children and dharma. It rules Sagittarius and Pisces, is exalted in Cancer and debilitated in Capricorn. In a woman's chart, Jupiter is also the primary karaka for the husband, making it central to marriage-related readings.
