Surya
In Vedic astrology, the Sun (Surya) is the king among the nine grahas and the atmakaraka, the significator of the soul. It rules Leo, is exalted in Aries and debilitated in Libra, and governs willpower, authority, vitality and one's sense of self. A well-placed Sun gives confidence, leadership and good standing with government and authority figures.
